How to Choose a Silver Chain for Men: Curb, Figaro, Rope or King
A silver chain is the one piece most men wear daily, so it has to feel right in two ways: the look of the links, and the weight around the neck. Every chain below is made in solid 925 silver, so what changes is the style, the width and the length.
Curb: the classic
Flat, interlocking links that lie neatly against the skin. It's the chain most people picture when they think of a silver chain, and it works with everything. We offer the Curb Chain in 4.5 mm and 7 mm, in 50 cm, 60 cm and 65 cm. Pick 4.5 mm if you want something you can forget you're wearing, and 7 mm if you want it noticed.
Figaro: the one that catches the light
The figaro pattern alternates shorter links with one longer link, which breaks up the line and catches the light as you move. Ours comes in 4.5 mm, 6 mm and 7 mm, in 60 cm and 65 cm. It's a good choice if you like to layer a chain over a t-shirt. See the Figaro Chain.
Rope: fine and flexible
Twisted strands woven like braided rope. It's the most flexible of the four and sits well under a shirt. The Rope Chain comes in 1 mm, 1.5 mm and 2 mm, in 65 cm and 70 cm. The thinner widths are made for layering; 2 mm stands on its own.
King and Coffee Bean: the statement chains
If you want presence, the King Chain has oversized interlocking links in 2 mm, 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm, in 50 cm, 60 cm and 65 cm. The Coffee Bean Chain uses oval links shaped like coffee beans, 7 mm wide and 60 cm long, with more texture than a flat chain.
What length should you choose?

Add a pendant, or a name
Any of these chains can be worn with a pendant. If you want something personal, a name, a letter, a date or a map pendant can be made in Arabic or English script and worn on the same chain.
Keeping silver looking new
925 silver tarnishes naturally when it meets moisture, air and chemicals. It's reversible, and prevention is simple: wipe the chain with a soft dry cloth before and after wearing, put it on after perfume and lotion, store it in its pouch or box with the clasp closed.
