Arabic Name Necklace: How to Choose the Script, Length and Finish
An Arabic name necklace is the most personal piece of jewellery you can own, and the most common gift we make. Everything below applies whether the name is written in Arabic or in English.
1. The script
The look of the letters is the biggest decision. Each of our name pieces shows the exact font in its product photos, so what you see is what your piece will look like. Flowing, connected script reads more softly and works well for longer names. Simpler, more upright letters stay clearer at small sizes, which matters if the name is short or you want a delicate piece.
If you're choosing for someone else, use the spelling exactly as they write it themselves. It's the detail people notice first.
2. The chain
The pendant is only half the piece. You can choose a Figaro, Cable or Box chain with our custom name necklaces. Cable and Box are fine and neutral, so the name stays the focus. Figaro is slightly bolder and reads more as jewellery in its own right.
3. The length

If it's a gift and you're unsure, 45 cm is the safe choice.
4. The finish
Every piece is made in 925 silver. You can keep the natural silver finish, or choose gold plating for a warmer look. The metal underneath is the same 925 silver either way, so the difference is appearance, not quality.
5. Layering, if you want more than one
Name pieces layer well with a plain chain or an initial. Keep 5 cm between lengths so they don't sit on top of each other: for example a 40 cm name necklace with a 45 cm plain chain.

How long it takes, and how to care for it
